Club Archive

The Invicta Car Club maintains an archive containing documentation, photographs, handbooks, road test reports and all manner of other material relating to the Invicta marque from the earliest 2 ½ litre cars, through to the S type, the post-war Black Prince and the modern S1.

A lot of the material is original, in some cases very delicate, and we aim to carefully preserve it for future generations. We also hold photocopies of many magazine articles and excerpts from books and sales catalogues and files containing the history of individual cars.

The Club Archive also holds various collections that have been bequeathed to us including the William Watson Archive, which contains photographs, letters, leaflets, and sketches from the designer of the S type and the Black Prince, and the Derek Green Archive which includes over one hundred period photographs, plus four albums from Donald Monro and many contemporary road test reports, etc.

Material held within the Archive is only available to Club members via a request made to the Archivist.
